Making Things Fair With the Performance Alignment Software

Before, performance management was strictly confined to one department. Nowadays, the entire organization tackles performance management. Every division must focus on this because people have an effect on how the corporation can grow. With the performance alignment software, employees will closely be observed - and whatever results are depicted will lead to the success or failure of the company.

When you closely look into the application performance software that is available online, you will see that the broader use of performance management really depends on the initiatives that the employees get. Now these are not to the norm and do not have an enterprise approach. This makes the performance alignment software harder to start with. Software performance systems take its place to get the task done.

The software vendor of such programs conducted a survey and reveals that the business alignment has come with the primary benefits of the companies in hope that one can receive the total performance of the management efforts. By strictly aligning one with the other, the goals of the organization can be achieved easily and the company will be on its way to success. On the other hand, if there is lack in anything related to the performance alignment software, then the optimal execution will be prevented to take place - despite the boom in the organizational strategy.

Organizational success increases when it is translated from one high level objective and then cascades into a series of focused performance measures. Using these examples, a CEO may simply focus on the net cash flow whereas the CFO looks at the debt to equity ratio. This is another factor that is important to software performance systems.

If you want to control the liquidity ratio, we suggest that you take into accounts the receivable manager day sales that are outstanding and are receivable depending on the clerk worries and the percentage of collections. When it is over a month, two months, or even three months, you have to look back into the performance alignment software again and see whether this will be strongly recommended to the company.

The departmental performance alignment closely looks into the performance alignment software that is difficult whenever the business is stunted. This is because the organization can just span across the multiple business units that are considered to be the functional support groups. In order to avoid the finger pointing, bottle necks, and redundancy of work, the performance alignment software can make it clear to the employees to share the performance e measures in order for them to bring to the table the same amount of work - if they are getting paid the same amount.

The application performance software makes things fair. The corporate key strategies are crucial to the four key areas - which are the departments, divisions, workforce, finance, and systems. These areas are tackled individually for entrepreneurs to really have the big picture of where the business is going. Without these, then they will not get what they hoped for and it would be such a shame.

What Are DB Files?

Some programs that can open DB database files include: Oracle databases, Windows XP thumbnail databases, Paradox databases, Novell GroupWise Address databases, MS Access, Mozilla Client Certificate more.

What is Thumbs.db and can I remove it?

The default behavior for many folders in Windows XP is to display thumbnail images of the files in the folder. The most common folder that has this feature enabled by default is My Pictures folder in My Documents. My Pictures displays files as thumbnails, because it is mostly used to store pictures. This is also true for folders created from digital cameras. Thumbs.db is Microsoft's way of caching thumbnail images of any image or movie file in a folder. The idea behind creating a thumbnail cache is to improve the speed of displaying thumbnails the next time you open the folder by caching a set of thumbnails for the image and video files in the folder. If you hadn't seen this file in your folders previously it's likely you didn't have Show hidden files and folders enabled. Deleting the Thumbs.db file simply deletes that cache, which is regenerated the next time you view the folder contents. It is possible to configure Windows to never cache thumbnails.

One of the biggest annoyances to the Thumbs.db file is the way it changes folder settings. You can specifically set all folders in Windows to open in List view, for instance. If any folder contains a Thumbs.db file, that folder reverts to the thumbnail view, ignoring your preferences.

Another drawback of the Thumbs.db file is that it takes up disk space. Although this space is very small in most cases, if you have a lot of Thumbs.db files littering your hard drive you may be able to save some valuable space by removing them. Follow the steps below to turn off the creation of this file and delete the Thumbs.db files that are on your hard drive.

To turn off thumbnail caching on all windows, go to Tools >> Options in My Computer's menu bar and click on the View tab. Check the box next to Do not cache thumbnails and click OK. Viola! There you have it.

Many file extensions are used by more than one application, and you need to know which files belong to which application. If you try to open Thumbs.db with Microsoft Access you will get rubbish data not in human readable form, or Microsoft Access will tell you that it cannot open the files. This is because even though MS Access can open database files with a db file extension, Thumbs.db is NOT a database file.

If You Are Asking How Do I Speed Up My Computer, This is What You Need to Do

There's a lot of reasons that could possibly be the answer to how do I speed up my computer. Let's say you need to work on something on the internet. You open up your PC and open a web browser. However, it takes several minutes for the web page to load up and you're getting frustrated. You really don't have to worry because there are some possible solutions to make your computer work faster.

1. Clean up your system registry

Make sure that your computers registry is not full of errors and corruption. An error filled system registry is one of the major reasons why a computer runs slow. You might need to install a free registry scanner which you can download from the internet. Before getting one make sure that what you will be downloading is proven to be safe and effective.

2. Clear your programs and files.

Your system might have a lot of unnecessary programs installed in it which makes your computer run slow because these programs or files cause traffic in the system and use memory. You also need to check on your files to make sure that you don't have lots of old files, documents and images you do not need. The recycle bin is where all the deleted files and programs go so make sure you empty it as well.

3. Disable inactive programs

Some programs, even if they are not in use, use up system memory and need to be deactivated. They only cause your computer to run slower because they still eat up the memory that would have been used for programs you really need to use. The reason this happens is because windows loads these programs into its memory at start up. Go to the windows start menu, then to the start up folder and delete any programs from there that you do not need to start up with windows. This will not delete the programs and is safe to do.

4. Get a strong antivirus program that will help protect your computer system from getting infected with viruses from the internet that can cause your system to slow down and eventually will cause you entire computer system to crash if not taken care of.

By following these four steps you will no longer be asking how do I speed up my slow computer and it will be running like new and free of any errors.

Registry Cleaner For Beginners

The registry files in Windows are the files that store software settings that allow the software to run in the Windows environment. These variables stored are complicated for the first timer and way beyond the scope and need for the first timer to know. The key knowledge is to be aware that it exists and when the registry becomes corrupt it will cause why their PC is slow.

Beginners will notice something different with their PC. They might see the PC is slow, or they could see the PC has messages popping up. The following is a small sample of possible messages: 404 messages, acrord 32.exe message, 502 bad gateway message, active x objects missing,.dll message, and the dreaded blue screen (Windows doesn't boot up).

The most common cause created by software is during the installation process. During the install process the software makes changes to the registry files to allow the program to work in the Windows environment, and the program will sometimes make updates that Windows doesn't like. I have found the cheaper programs, like freeware and shareware, is where this problem occurs most often. The writers of these software programs either do not take the time or have the knowledge to write a good install program. Talk to and ask your family which programs and software companies they trust. By the time you find out, the registry is corrupted and your PC will not boot up.

The most important 1st step for all beginners to learn is to make a startup disk and to BACK UP your hard drive OFTEN. Make a startup disc, ERD (emergency recovery disc), or Last Known Good, so read the owner's manual that came with your PC, or use your operating system disc to create a startup disk, or etc.. Today there are several web sites that for a price will provide a back up of your hard disk. Depending on the speed of your Internet connection, this process could take several days. The fees for most of these web sites are around $100.00 to $150.00 per year. On my personal computer I have available room for expansion, and can add another hard disk. Also available are USB external hard drives (Iomega) that cost less than web sites will charge for their service for a year. With the addition of the hard disk, you can simply diskcopy your main hard drive (usually C:) to the newly installed hard drive (usually E:). There will be people to tell you to use RAID, but for beginners that can be a challenge to set up. Remember to get in the habit of backing up your hard drive no matter which method you choose, just do it often.

After you have a good backup and system disc in hand, and you still have problems, there are good registry cleaner programs available. These programs, like Registry Easy, will go and find errors in your registry files and fix them. This will eliminate your error messages and speed up the operation of your PC.

The Simple Tool That Makes Your PC Run Faster

010Computers are great when they are running smoothly, but they quickly become the biggest headaches when they start running slow. Not only do they make your computing life extremely difficult, but also prevent you from doing such things as watching movies and playing video games... just because they are running slow.

It's a common idea that computers are meant to run slow, especially after a few years of use. This is because of the constant development of technology, bringing us faster and faster PCs each year. However, the idea that your computer will somehow slow down, because a newer model is out is a MYTH.

The truth about slow computers is that it's got nothing to do with the hardware (bits and pieces) inside your machine. The parts that your computer is made from, make it run at a constant speed all its life. It doesn't 'slow down', as some computer shop people like to claim. Instead, there's a much simpler reason for why your computer is running slow - it's all clogged up with junk.

It all boils down to something called the 'registry'. This is the central database of your computer, and is vitally important. It stores everything from your desktop wallpaper to critical system files. Quite simply, your computer depends on this registry to function. The problem is that, because the registry is so important, Windows is constantly adding and updating the files inside it. This causes some of the files to become corrupted, which slows your PC down. And with 100's of corrupted files, your PC will just get slower and slower, without you realizing.

To fix this, we just need to use a simple tool, known as a registry cleaner. There are several types of registry cleaner on the market, but they all do a similar thing - they all send a virtual robot into the registry and clean it out. Because these are software tools, you just need to install them and click on the "Scan Now" button to make them clean out your registry. They are all automatic, and will dramatically speed up your system.

Web Site Promotion Software

Several software systems, tools and packages are available for developing web applications. Applications refer to the services, navigation systems, and graphical designs featured on web pages. The typical website consists of a home page with left-side menu listing various sections of the site; tabs at the top for the viewer to see the important sections; a search feature to identify products or services if the site is too large and has too many links; recent news releases; bottom links providing hypertext links to all the sections; and a site map.

The designing of web sites and web pages involve every detail related to the appearance and feel of the site. The home page must reflect the exact description of the company. Some of the designing decisions refer to menu style, navigation between the pages, usage of animation software or flash programming, etc.

Some of the software and web related tools are:

Html: Web design software, widely used by web designers.

Java script / flash: features include animation, drop-down navigation, small windows that open to answer a hyperlinked question.

CGI/database program: enables site search program and customer communication interface.

Cascading style sheets: control font sizes and colors. A change in a single master file would make similar change in all the other pages.

Frames: Navigation system where the menu on left scrolls independently of the page content on the right.

Instant text chat systems, Instant messaging systems: provides a check on the viewer's visit and mechanism to handle the communication with them.

Software should support facilities such as changing the content of existing information, adding new archives or web pages, new products or services, direct mail applications, upload mailing list capability, email generation, interactive ordering system, login and access privileges, response tracking and user customization.

SolidWorks Tips - How to Keep 3D Models On-Screen With Rotation Options

Tired of your model flying off the screen when you try to rotate on a small detail? Wish there was a better way to view your projects?

Now there is. Follow the directions below to get started.

Rotating around a SolidWorks element

Many times, you'll want to view a particular design element from more than one angle.

First, select the element you wish to keep on-screen. It can be any vertex, edge, or face in your 3D model.

Next, use the "zoom to selection" command. SolidWorks will focus the view on the selected item.

Finally, click View > Modify > Rotate About Screen Center

Now when you rotate the model as you normally would, the selected element remains on the screen at all times.

The nice thing about this trick is that you only have to do the above steps once - all subsequent rotates will keep details on the screen. Remember, select the entity you want to keep on screen and then click "zoom to selection" before rotating.

Rotating around a SolidWorks element - mouse only

Most people know how to rotate SolidWorks models with the middle wheel button. It's very simple: press the wheel down like a button (don't roll it) and then move your mouse to rotate.

As we mentioned earlier, if you rotate while zoomed in on a particular SolidWorks model detail, you may lose the detail when you rotate.

Most people don't know that you can rotate the model about the center of the screen using only the mouse! This simple trick lets you rotate a SolidWorks model about any vertex, edge, or face at any point in a regular rotation.

Start by holding down the mouse wheel button, and then double click on any vertex, edge, or face. Now try moving your mouse around.

Each mouse selection gives a different effect:

Double-clicking on a vertex will freeze that point on the screen while you rotate. This view gives the greatest amount of rotation freedom.

Double-clicking an edge freezes that edge on screen during rotation. This view feels like peeking around the corner of a wall.

Double-clicking a face freezes that side on screen during rotation. This view feels like rotating a piece of paper on a desk.

Try out different techniques to find the best one for you!

Why Do You Need Registry Repair Programs?

There are a lot of advertisements going on for registry repair programs on the Internet. But do you actually know what registry repair programs are for? Most of the people all over the globe are using computers. True enough, there are a lot of people who rely on the computer for their research, entertainment, communication and other things that they do every day. On the Internet, they are able to download songs and programs that will be able to help them become productive and push their career forward.

But of course, computers are prone to mishaps. And sometimes, you could have installed programs that could have caused some slowing of the computer. What you can do with this is to get registry repair programs to fix your computer for you. There are times that your computer will boot up really slowly and it can be really annoying. When computers find it hard to find the components that it needs to start up your computer, then it slows the boot process. What registry repair programs can do is to speed up the boot process for you. How is this possible?

When you install programs and delete them, there are temporary files or other components that may have not been completely removed from your system. This, in turn, creates clutter in your computer and makes it difficult for it to find the components it needs for start up. If you manually delete this unwanted clutter, it will take you hours, days, or even weeks before you finish. But the good thing is there are registry repair programs available to help you clean out the mess. Now, you don't have to wait long minutes for your computer to start up. You don't have to worry about computer malfunction. It will be up and running just like new.

Registry Cleaner Reviews - What to Look For in a Microsoft Registry Cleaner

If your computer has slowed to a crawl or is inundated with errors and freezes or crashes often, then it is likely you are in need of registry repair. While there are a number of different tools available to do this for you, if you are doing research on registry cleaner reviews, there are a couple of critical features you need to be aware of when considering which Microsoft Registry Cleaner to use.

Backup/Restore Capability

This is the single most important option to consider when looking at registry cleaners.

Any legitimate registry cleaner will offer the ability to backup your entire registry prior to fixing or removing any corrupt entries that are found as well as the ability to restore it easily if the need arises.

If you are looking at a registry cleaner that does not offer this option, don't even think about using it.

Registry Optimization and Compacting

This is a feature that most users might overlook, but if you are looking to gain a significant increase in your computer's performance, then this is a feature that you should absolutely consider.

Much as in the same manner as your disk drive, you computer's registry can become fragmented over time. This means that registry entries are not stored in a contiguous space and instead are broken up and pieces are written in tiny gaps of space between other entries. In turn, this creates a performance bottleneck as your operating system needs to put those fragments back together when it needs to reference or use a particular entry.

By using a registry cleaner that has the ability to optimize and compact your registry, you will be ensuring that all of the entries within your registry are written in contiguous space and are organized correctly.

And an organized and optimized registry will have a significant impact on your computer's performance.

So if you are in the market for a registry cleaner and are researching registry cleaner reviews, make sure you look for software that includes a backup and restore option as well as provides the ability to optimize and compact your registry - and you'll have your computer running like new again in no time.

So you can double click this shortcut to quickly start System Restore. In DOS mode, you can simply go to Start -> Run -> type "rstrui" to enable it.

2) Use command-line to start System Restore

If the computer has been completely crashed and impossible to get into neither normal nor safe mode, you can type in the command-line "C:windowssystem32restorerstrui" and then press "Enter" to run a system restore if you can access " Safe Mode with Command-line". In this way, you can effortlessly bring back a crashed Windows XP.

3) Use system menu to restore a crashed XP in safe mode

If you are able to get access Windows Safe mode, even though fail to access normal mode, it is recommended to restore the system here. Here is what you can go: Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> System Restore -> select "Restore my computer to an earlier time" and then click "Next". Here, you can select the restore point and restore your computer. After rebooting, you can easily save your crashed Windows XP.

With the steps above, you can simply save a crashed XP computer, but it does not mean that all degree of damage can be restored in this way. If the computer is damaged too much, a reinstallation is needed, which will cause the loss of some important data.

This removes files that windows only uses for program installation and compresses files that you hardly use, making them smaller and saving space.

#2 The most obvious way to stop malicious software getting onto your computer is by installing an up to date antivirus software and a firewall. The anti virus software will detect the software and a firewall will alert you to any suspicious activity as malware tries to steal information from your computer and deliver it elsewhere.

Sometimes malicious software gets past this defense and hides itself away, constantly monitoring what you are done and wrecking your computers performance as it runs hidden in the background, but there is still a way you can stop this.

How can you do this?

#3 Having a registry cleaner allows you to detect entries for spyware, malware and other malicious software hiding away in the windows registry. Without a registry entry they cannot work and an up to date registry scanner can find and disable them fast, even if they have bypassed your other defenses. A registry cleaner will also find and uncover registry errors and out of date and obsolete registry entries that are causing slow computer performance and generating countless errors messages in windows and causing your PC to constantly pause and freeze.

To run a registry cleaner the first step you need to carry out is to download a free registry scanner that will find anything malicious, corrupt or damaged in the registry. This only takes a few minutes and anyone can do it. Once you have done this you can get rid of all these errors in second and make your computer run like the day you took it out of the box.

Linux vs Windows

The hottest issue today is to use which operating system and why. Microsoft windows has its own market and million of users and why linux is used as a server in nearly 80% Internet Service Providers. what makes a difference? how comparison of both are possible? why instead of a great user free environment of windows, most network administrators like and prefer linux. here is the reason....

1. Browsing becomes 4 times faster with the same hardware and Internet connection

2. No dependence on a single supplier for any product.

3. Ability to protect data so that no agency in the world can access it without the data owner's permission.

4. A Linux server can be up for hundreds of days.

5. Linux memory management is far superior to that of Windows.

6. Higher Stability

7. Better Performance

8. Better and more useful functionality

9. Better access protection among users

10. Centralized management and backups

11. Easier and effective Administration

12. Increased Interoperability and connectivity

13. Easier to conform to ISO standards for Quality

14. Linux is stable.

15. It normally does not crash.

16. File sharing shall become 3 times faster than Windows 2003 on the same hardware.

17. No need to think about any type of virus at all. The hardest thing would be to train your mind to stop worrying and start opening any emails WITH whatever attachments. Bring on the EMAILS.

18. You do not need to install Linux on a machine to use it. You can run it completely from the CD Drive. Even on a computer with a virus infected or nonexistent hard disk. You shall still be able to work on any files on the hard disk without worries of infection.

19. There is no "Blue Screen" error in Linux because those errors simply do not occur.

20. Linux can be used on a wide range of computers, for a wide range of purposes.

21. Linux runs on more Central Processing Units and platforms than any other computer operating system.

22.. Linux is fast, and will run on lesser hardware than many other operating systems. Your old 486 can do something useful again with Linux.

23. For using Linux you need not dump your existing Operating System. Linux will go along with any other operating systems.

24. You can save cookies, passwords, and all other secret stuff and feel confident that spy wares, viruses and even the system administrator can not access your data unless you them to.

25. You get to pick your favorite text editor from a selection of dozens.

26. Windows gives you one inadequate editor -- Notepad.

27. Linux users can pick from dozens of tools to do word processing and typesetting.

28. Microsoft provides one, Word, and even that pales in comparison to

29. With Linux, you can always find out what the system is doing, and why.

30. All of these things combine to make Linux a virtually zero maintenance platform.

31. Word Perfect is already available for Linux

32. Oracle recommends Linux

33. SAP recommends Linux

34. All source code is freely accessible

35. No license fees.

36. There are no royalty fees.

Capitalize on Customer Migration With Credit Union Software

The current state of the Financial Services Industry is reminiscent of the ancient curse, "May you live in interesting times." While the results of the bailout of the troubled mortgage industry remain to be seen, it is only compounding a trend of migratory behavior among customers of financial institutions.

Once upon a time, such institutions were revered as family legacies. A person simply used the same bank used by other family members, and they remained customers for life. Somewhere along the line, the financial industry became highly competitive. Perks became the name of the game, with incentives ranging from no-fee checking accounts to free iPods dangling before the eyes of potential customers. As fees and service charges became issues with customers, institutions sought to lower or eliminate them completely at both the point of sale and at ATMs.

Most important of all, interest rates became king. Customers began to migrate, going where deposit rates were high and loan rates were low. This created a world of rate shoppers.

As if all of this weren't enough, the Freddie Mac / Fannie Mae meltdown has put even more customers into motion. This time they are jumping from giant conglomerates to the perceived safety of small, local institutions.

While this may bode well for the Credit Union, it has only increased the competition. The times are indeed interesting. However, as the financial crisis of 2008 continues to play out, will Credit Unions be prepared to remain competitive as things return to normal?

When combined with their Sharetec credit union system, Ultimate Checking (also known as Rewards Checking) from GBS gives Credit Unions a powerful tool to draw and retain new customers, offer new options to existing customers, and enhance the bottom line of any institution.

The GBS/Sharetec system maintains the processing without the human capital. Using this credit union software, Credit Union personnel can measure customer performance through a simple inquiry. Members can gauge their own performance through the use of Sharetec Home Banking. The Sharetec Rewards Checking program is both integrated and automated to insure ease of use for both Credit Union and member.

Further, the metrics and rewards are integrated into the GBS/Sharetec Rewards program software. Once Reward program parameters are set, the system will automatically track, reward accounts, and reset any counters at the appropriate time. All counters are updated in real-time with activity and can be viewed by Credit Union personnel and, ultimately, the member through Sharetec Home Banking.

Finally, GBS credit union software is designed from the ground up. The program fully integrates into the core of the Sharetec system, and Credit Unions worked closely with Sharetec developers in order to develop the feature set. In essence, it is co-designed by Credit Unions, for Credit Unions.

Yes - You Need an Article Submitter

The adage "Work smarter, not harder" really applies to writing and submitting EzineArticles.

Ezine articles are without a doubt one of the best ways to drive traffic to your affiliate site and to increase your SEO.

Whether doing a submittal manually or using an article submitter, the basics do not change. Before submitting to an article site one must register. This procedure is usually filling out an online form, and receiving a confirmation sent to your e-mail address. Click on this confirmation and you are a registered user. You log on to the submit site using your ID and password. Next, enter a Pen Name. Now you are ready to click on Submit Article.

It is at this juncture where an article submitter comes into play. Submitting manually gets the job done but is tedious and time consuming. An article submitter speeds up the data entry. Why is this important? It is generally accepted that to be a successful Ezine article writer, one must submit 2 - 3 articles per week to hundreds of article sites. Doing this by hand is simply not possible. Look at the author statistics on any site and you will see that the successful authors have submitted hundreds, even thousands of articles. They are making impressive monthly incomes.

There are many article submitter software programs on the market, Article Submitter, Article Submitter Gold, My Article Pro, My Article Submitter, and Article Money, to name a few. They vary in features, ease of use, and cost. Most offer a Free download for trial use. These are fully operational, but some limit the number of days the program can be used and others limit the size of the submit site database. Why do they give a Free download? So you can see for yourself the benefits of the program by hands-on use. For example, in my case I downloaded a Free trial version and used it to submit an article to several sites. I was impressed with my article being Auto-Filled instead of having to do the tedious cut and paste exercise. The trial program came with a database of 80 article sites, but I immediately ordered the full version with a database of over 600 sites. To me, the program was worth the price if for nothing more than getting the list of 600 sites to submit articles. Now I had the tool to quickly submit articles, complete with list of sites that would be continually updated. My time could now be better spent on writing new articles.

What should an article submitter NOT do for you? It should not be a robot spam type program. This type of submittal is frowned upon, a nuisance to the submit sites, and can get you banned from the best article sites.

What should a good article submitter do for you? It should let you go through the submit process step by step as you normally would, just making it easier and faster to make the submittal. Logging on to a site for the first time, requires a few steps whether manual or using an article submitter. One must enter the ID and Password, and select a Pen Name. Lets go through the steps and see where the article submitter saves time. Go to the article submit website. Immediately your ID and Password are filled in by the article submitter. You can go directly to Submit Article. Instantly your entire article is auto-filled, the Title, Author name, Summary, Body, and Resource Box. Stunning, no time consuming cut and paste. Manually select a Category, as this the only way to ensure that your article ends up in the correct category and sub-category. Click Submit, then Log Off. Your article will look totally hand submitted. The article submitter will automatically enter the submit date in your database, and give you a chance to type in a note or comment. No more pencil and paper notes covering your desk. Then, on to the next site. And where did the next site come from? The site database in your article submitter! The article submitter is a win-win, saving time by eliminating the tedious article cutting and pasting, and eliminating the time consuming chore of building your own list of article submit sites.

If you are not using an article submitter, you may very well be spending more than you are making. Quality articles quickly submitted to hundreds of submit sites is the key to being successful. There is a way to accomplish this. Yes, You Need an Article Submitter.

Beware of the Free Registry Cleaners

So your computer is running slow and it's time to clean your Windows registry. All of those files from programs that you installed and uninstalled over time are still lingering in you computer's registry. Unless you are a computer expert you need registry cleaning software to get the job done properly.

There are many registry cleaners out there and they can be easily downloaded in minutes. Among these options are free registry cleaners. A program that will scan and clean my registry and help bring my computer back to its original speed for the price of $0. Sounds great right? Be warned though, before you decide to download that free program there are a few things to consider.

Free Registry Cleaners are developed and put on the web by random people. Often they are developed published and forgotten about and therefore offer no support or updates. This also results in the software quickly becoming outdated and useless. The free registry cleaners can also be vehicles for viruses or malware to be installed in your computer's registry causing it to run even slower or crash.

Remember that the registry cleaner you choose to download will be tampering with the Windows database so you want to make sure you use a highly reputable registry cleaner. This typically comes in the form of a paid registry cleaner that offers support, updates, periodic future scans, and accountability.

Reputable registry cleaners offer free scans of your Windows registry. So you frugal folks out there can get a free scan to see what's happening with your registry before you pay a dime for a cleaner. If you don't need a cleaning you just saved yourself some money and peace of mind. If you do need you registry cleaned a reputable registry cleaner will cost under $40 to download and can be put to use as often as you like. Just keep in mind that a small cost now will save you from paying a big cost later for a new computer.

How To Stop Windows Viruses From Infecting Mac Files in VmWare Fusion

If the virtualised Windows computer is hit by a virus, there's a good chance it will infect the files in your shared /User directory. More over viruses even target shared folders. VMWare Fusion shares User directory with virtualised Windows installations. This is made automatically and independently of OS X's file sharing systems, that means it works even if both Windows Sharing and Personal File Sharing are not turned on in System Preferences (even if MAC OS-X's firewall is turned on).

The resolution is to turn off VMWare Fusion's sharing attribute, and then build a shared folder in the virtual Windows machine, which you can access with OS X's Finder. In this way, any virus will not "notice" files on the OS-X host, but you can still switch files back and forth. The following commands are for a virtualized XP Home. In XP Pro sharing preferences are slightly different, but you can easily figure it out. Once these commands are followed, you can still drag files between the virtual machine and the OS X desktop:

Shutting down the virtual Windows via Start -> Turn Off Computer.

On VMWare Fusion Click Settings for the virtual machine, click on Shared Folders on left, and remove all checks against Enabled and Enabled at Power On.

Now Restart the virtual machine.

When booted, choose folder that you want to share and right-click (such as My Pictures) then click on Properties.

Click on Sharing tab and click on hyperlinked text that says "If you understand the security risks but want to share files..."

In the dialog that appears, click Just Enable File Sharing, and click OK.

Click Share This Folder On the Network, and then click Allow Network Users to Change my Files. Click OK.

Now you will need IP address of the virtualized Windows computer. Most likely it will be 192.168.61.129, but you can check by clicking Start -> Run, typing cmd, and typing ipconfig at the prompt. Look for the line that reads IP Address.

On the OS X host computer, open a Finder window and click Go -> Connect to Server.

On the Server Address line, type smb://192.168.61.129 (possibly replacing the IP address with the one you discovered earlier). Click Connect.

A dialog should appear letting you log into the Windows share. You might have to type your Windows user-name and password. If there is no password, leave the password field blank.

Surely, you can create an OS X desktop shortcut to the share, too. Simply right-click the icon that appears after you mount the share and click Make Alias. Make sure to drag the new mount to the Trash before shutting down the virtual machine.
