I tried out everything there is to increase the speed of my computer. I removed programs on my PC that I no longer needed. I removed pictures, files, etc. that I didn't need anymore. I even defragmented my computer (which took A LONG TIME to do by the way). You know what, both my laptop and desktop were STILL running slow and getting errors all the time. BUT, I did find a solution to the problem...
What I soon discovered was that my Windows registry may be the reason both of my computers were running so slowly, starting up and shutting down slowly, etc.
What's the Windows registry? This section of your computer retains information from all the things you do daily on your computer (saving, removing, installing, downloading, uploading, etc.). If the registry becomes full or infected with a harmful virus or spyware, it's going to cause serious problems with your computer.
To fix the registry, what you'll need to do is download a safe online registry cleaner. Not all cleaners are the same. I strongly recommend you get one that is proven effective, and also has security certificates (that YOU can verify).
All you need to do is download the FREE scanner that usually is available with most of the good programs. After that, just click on the "repair icon" and your registry will be thoroughly cleaned. You will most certainly increase PC speed and optimization after completing this step. Both of my computers are now running unbelievably faster.
